Yanks Drop Another in Anaheim

Another game in Anaheim, another loss for the Yankees, who only managed two solo home runs in a 5-2 loss to the Angels. The Yankees have now dropped 6 of their last 10, but managed to maintain their 5 game lead over the Red Sox, who blew a 6 run lead in Kansas City and wasted a chance to inch closer to first place in the AL East. The one bright spot was the return of Andy Pettitte, who was effective in 6 innings of work and reported no issues with his left shoulder. Yankees fans should be relieved that Pettitte appears ready for the playoffs, but unfortunately he can only pitch every 5th day. Get ready for Chad Gaudin to take the mount tonight. Ugh.
