Redskins Still A Joke With Shanahan
Another off season means another new head coach for the Redskins. This time, its Mike Shanahan, a 2 time Super Bowl winner who was fired by the Broncos after he failed to win any playoff games without John Elway. Once again, Skins owner Dan Snyder went for the sizzle instead of the substance, and it will wind up with the Redskins staying at the bottom of the NFC East. It’s a Benched Lock of the Decade. Shanahan will want to tear the whole thing down and rebuild from scratch, which will cost him Year 1. Year 2 will be a slight improvement, but since the Skins are trying to catch the Eagles, Giants and Cowboys, who are all stacked with veteran talent, they will probably miss the playoffs, making Year 3 a make or break year, when old man Shanahan knows that even if he gets fired, he will walk away with a boat load of loochie. You don’t bring in a veteran for the long haul, because they won’t have the hustle that a team needs to get from the bottom to the top.
